| LeCroy offers
a PCI Express probe system to enable Advanced Mezzanine
Cards (AMCs) to be easily interfaced to the PETracer
Protocol Analyzers. This new AMC Interposer makes
it easier to analyzer traffic between AMC modules
and their respective host systems by decreasing
probing setup times.
AMC modules are add-in
cards that can attach to a carrier board or backplane.
AMC modules are considered the telecommunication
industry's next-generation mezzanine standard
supporting PCI Express in both AdvancedTCA®
as well as MicroTCA systems

| The AMC interposer probe allows
the user to tap into the PCI Express bus, avoiding tight tolerances
between AMC mezzanine cards and. The AMC probe minimizes signal interference
by using passive tapping, allowing equipment to be analyzed while
it functions normally. As an additional feature, the AMC interposer
includes tap connectors for the AMC-specified SATA port, enabling
SATA traffic to be analyzed by the LeCroy SATracer?SATA Protocol Analyzer
The AMC probe is an extender card that
plugs into the AMC slot on a backplane and includes an AMC carrier
socket to allow the AMC module to be plugged into the interposer
probe. The PETracer Analyzer is then connected between the AMC module
and the motherboard
